'Fairly Legal,' 'In Plain Sight' move to Friday

'In Plain Sight'USA Network is shifting "Fairly Legal" and "In Plain Sight" to Fridays for their upcoming new seasons. Both "Fairly Legal," starring Sarah Shahi, and Mary McCormack-toplined "In Plain Sight" will launch March 16. In its first season, "Fairly Legal" aired Thursdays and "In Plain Sight," which is about to begin its fifth and final season, had been a Sunday night player, paired with "Law & Order: Criminal Intent." The move to Fridays represents the array of original programming USA has to offer and the need to spread out its series among several days of the week. While Fridays have been tough to the broadcast nets in recent years, the day plays better for cable and has been especially good to USA. "Monk," which helped put the net on the map and starred multiple Emmy winner Tony Shalhoub, debuted on Fridays, as did "Psych" and "White Collar." Also, the cabler recently announced Ryan Johnson has been added to the cast of "Fairly Legal." Both "Fairly Legal" and "In Plain Sight" are produced by Universal Cable Prods.
